Assistant Professor in Control and Learning Systems

Overview

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver campus invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of fundamental methods for control and learning system. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor with or without tenure may be considered in exceptional cases. The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

We are interested in candidates whose research interests include, but are not limited to, multi-agent decision-making in uncertain and dynamic environments, control of networked systems, safe optimization and learning, reinforcement learning, game theory and distributed control, secure control systems, as well as stochastic and data-driven optimization and control.
