Overview

The United States Coast Guard Academy has an opening for a Cyber Security Instructor.

Up to four positions available.

Position is at the US Coast Guard Academy in the School of Engineering & Cyber Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering & Computing. Instruction will occur M-F, during the hours of 8am-4pm, January-May and Aug-December. If additional funding available, potential for extension. Typical classes are 50 minutes three days a week or 75 minutes twice a week. Labs are 2 hours and 40 minutes once a week. Exact schedule can be negotiated based on course taught.

This position is responsible for performing activities related to delivering course content consistent with an ABET accredited Cyber System major and an NSA/DHS designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. In support of these efforts, this position is responsible for supporting the development and assessment of cyber related undergraduate curriculum. 

This position requires knowledge of Cyber Systems. This position must be able to address issues in a timely manner, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. 

Works independently, leads projects and collaborates with team members. Uses superior communication skills, both verbal and written. 

Performs other related duties as assigned.
