10-Month Tenure Track Position
COMPENSATION:
Initial salary placement ranges from $55,714 to $87,247, based upon education and experience. The current faculty salary schedule includes five classes and twenty steps with a maximum annual salary of $116,888. A District-paid comprehensive benefit package which includes medical, dental and vision insurances for the employee and dependents, and a $50,000 employee life insurance policy are provided. Representative Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Participating in assessment, evaluation, and planning of Student Learning Outcomes and Program Learning Outcomes, Program Review, Curriculum Development.
Teach lecture/laboratory classes as assigned.
Collaborate with other faculty to enhance instruction, curriculum, and student success.
Develop and deliver online courses.
Maintain expertise in current technologies.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's in computer science or computer engineering OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering OR Bachelor's in engineering AND Master's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelor's in mathematics AND Master's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND A master's degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems OR the equivalent (NOTE: Courses in the use of computer programs for application to a particular discipline may be classified for minimum qualifications purposes, under the discipline of the application.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Private industry experience
- Experience with full stack development
- Successful teaching experience in a higher-education institution
- Successful online teaching experience
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential student issues and situations.
- Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Office, classroom, lab and/or on-line environment. Position requires ability to communicate and exchange information. The assignment may include day, weekend, and/or evening classes on campus and/or at off campus locations. Position requires ability and schedule flexibility to accommodate active participation in College and Department Outreach Events such as College and Career Fairs and College and Community Presentations.
Knowledge and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Full-stack software development, containerization, virtual machines, networking, system administration, Linux, open-source software stacks, vim text editor
ABILITY TO:
Teach any and all of the above “knowledge of” topics.
