Instructor or Lecturer, Games and Interactive Media

 

The Nicholson School of Communication and Media (NSCM) in the College of Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for an instructor or lecturer position in the Games and Interactive Media program. This is a nine-month, non-tenure-track appointment. The position is anticipated to begin in January 2024.

 

The successful candidate will contribute to the Games and Interactive Media mission by teaching primarily game art-related coursework, with a focus on 3D Modeling and related approaches. Based on the current workload policy, the teaching load for each position will be four courses per semester. The selected candidate will also be expected to participate in school and university service, including committee work.

 

The Games and Interactive Media program is a large and growing top 10-ranked game design program (#6, according to Princeton Review). The program is part of the Nicholson School of Communication and Media, which has other programs in the areas of Communication, Film and Mass media, and industry game development (FIEA) and is located at UCF Downtown.
