Do you have experience in the automotive repair field and are interested in teaching students your trade?

The Electric Vehicle Technology program at HCC is growing and we are in search of applicants for a full-time faculty position to teach Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage courses. Courses offered in this area include but may not be limited to Introduction to Electric Vehicles, Brakes, Steering and Suspension, Electrical and Chassis Control, Thermal Management, and High Voltage Architecture.

This is an ongoing 9-month appointment from mid-August to mid-May with anticipated start date in August 2023.

Full-time faculty are responsible for teaching courses and supporting student achievement, developing program curriculum, working with local employers, and contributing to departmental and College-wide initiatives.

The hired individual will be expected to teach a variety of courses in the discipline as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants are not required to have a formal degree, but should have a minimum of 2000 hours of successful work experience in the automotive field as well as the ability to teach a wide range of courses. Candidates must be able to work inclusively with diverse populations of students, employees, those external to the College.

Desired Qualifications

Teaching/training experience, Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or other relevant certifications, and knowledge of/experience with the repair of electric vehicles are desired.
