Position Summary:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT FACULTY NON-TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR The Department of Project Management at the University of Alaska Anchorage invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in Project Management. The primary duty of this position is full-time teaching in the PMI-GAC accredited Master of Science Project Management program, Graduate Certificate in Project Management and Minor in Project Management and delivering professional training courses.
Duties:
The primary duty of this position is full-time teaching in a PMI-GAC accredited Master of Science Project Management program, Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and Minor in Project Management. Courses may include graduate and undergraduate-level courses that prepare industry-ready project managers with technical, leadership, and strategic skills necessary for contemporary project managers in a wide spectrum of industry sectors and organizational contexts. Other duties include, but are not limited to, community service (including university, community, and professional); continuing the PMI-GAC accreditation process and other assessment activities; advising students; developing outreach programs to the larger community; assisting with curriculum development, program and faculty growth and development; participating on committees within the Project Management Department, College of Engineering, and university; and working cooperatively with Department and College of Engineering faculty and staff.

Within UAA's College of Engineering, the Project Management Department has an MS Project Management, MS Project Management + Leadership Concentration, MS Project Management+ Business Concentration, Graduate Certificate in Project Management, an Accelerated MSPM, and a Minor in Project Management. The UAA MSPM program is accredited by PMI- Global Accreditation Center (GAC). The department offers a comprehensive set of project management courses that develop technical, leadership, collaboration, and strategic skills necessary for contemporary project, program, and project managers across a wide spectrum of industry sectors and organizational contexts. UAA's Project Management Department invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in Project Management. The position is open to individuals with both full-time graduate level teaching experience and senior level project management industry experience. The successful candidate must hold a current Project Management Professional (PMP ®) credential or complete successfully within one year of employment.
The primary duty of this position is full-time teaching in the Project Management Department in the PMI-GAC accredited MSPM program, Graduate Certificate in Project Management and Minor in Project Management.
